Things have changed mightily for nonprofit organizations in the world of federal grantmaking and IRS reporting. While some changes may be more established in the present compared to when they were first issued — or at least less murky in their enforcement — there is still uncertainty among nonprofits regarding:

  • changes to the federal certification requirements for federal grants and contracts;
  • amendments to the Uniform Guidance governing federal agencies and their grant recipients; and
  • proposed revisions to IRS Form 990 focused on federal grants and contracts and fiscal sponsor arrangements.

To keep you up to date on the current status of these changes, this session will provide an update on:

  • current oversight and enforcement of federal contract certifications
  • implementation of changes to the Uniform Guidance and the effects on federal grantees
  • the specifics on proposed revisions to the IRS Form 990

Come with questions, leave with guidance for assessing and mitigating your nonprofit’s risk in the current federal grantmaking and reporting landscape.
