Background

Many nonprofit organizations are confused about the legality of their operations and concerned about government inquiries, fearful that any inquiry into their organization may lead to IRS revocation of their federal tax-exempt status. And it’s no wonder so many are feeling this way, between a record-setting number of Executive Orders from the Trump Administration, congressional probes requesting information from over 200 nonprofits organizations, U.S. Attorney General memos regarding the Administration’s stance on DEI, the freezing of federal funding for initiatives not aligned with this Administration’s values, and executive branch assertions that many organizations are “terrorist organizations”.
